The Rubbish Thing About UK Festivals

The UK festival industry produces a lot of rubbish. Each year, UK festivals create more than 23,500 tonnes of waste of which approximately 65% ends up being dumped in landfill sites. Festivals use more than £5 million worth of fuel creating a carbon footprint almost equivalent to 20,000 tonnes.

We plan to be different. None of the waste created at Festival On The Wall will be dumped in landfill sites and we are committed to achieve positive impacts environmentally, socially and economically, as well as supporting economic development and growth in the North East.
